Foreign Affairs Committee Chairperson and Bulacan's 4th Congressional District Representative Linabelle Ruth R. Villarica was sworn in by House Speaker Pantaleon D. Alvarez as Deputy Speaker for Central Luzon of the House of Representatives on August 9, 2017.
The incoming Deputy Speaker Linabelle Villarica beamed throughout the oath-taking ceremony as she was joined at the podium by her husband, Meycauayan City Mayor Henry R. Villarica, and children Henry Lester Villarica and Atty. Hailey Villarica-Ong with husband Jevon Ong last August 9, 2017. The third-termer solon feels these developments to be an "Unexpected Gift” at this phase in her life.
Deputy Speaker Villarica, who has been a two-termer President of the Central Luzon Bloc, not surprisingly, secured their solid vote to represent them to the second highest official in the House of Representatives last August 9, 2017. CLB Solons solons join her with House Majority Leader Rodolfo C. Fariñas. She continues as President of the 88-strong membership of lady solons in the 17th Congress, the Association of Women Legislators Foundation, Inc.

Villarica, the proposal to increase Philippine passport validity from five (5) to ten (10) years was passed on 3rd reading on February 13, 2017 at the Lower House after it zipped passed 2nd reading exactly a week previously. The DFA’s Assistant Secretary of Consular Affairs, ASec. Frank R. Cimafranca lent his able assistance to pass HB No. 4767, which was authored by more than a hundred legislators.
